The Grant Brothers Bonus Chapter 10/30/15

                                                      Meet Conner Grant !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was just leaving the Grant construction site when Uncle Nicky called and told me to haul my ass over to the Grant building that they need to talk to me about something. I am driving over to there and remember how I meet my dad and all my uncles that I have grown to love so much.
Wow, that has been 13 years already. All of them have had more children, there are so many cousins now that the house is packed at holidays. And I love every minute of it. And Mac, my sister is turning sixteen already and getting ready to take her driver’s test to drive. Not to mention she’s driving mom mad with how she is allowed to drive but not date yet. My life is really good now.
I pull up to the Grant building and head for dad’s office. But he is not in there and I think I’ve went to the wrong place. I ask Aunt Dane where mom and dad are.
“They’re waiting for you up in your Uncle Nicky’s boardroom.” She smiled at me. “Go on up.”
At this point I look to Anna, Aunt Dane’s daughter, who is standing by her mom wondering if I did something wrong. Anna just shrugs her shoulders like she has no idea what’s happening either. God, I wish Anthony was here right now. He’d know and would tell him.
I leave dad’s office and take the stairs two at a time, hurrying to get up and to see what the hell is going on. I enter the room and there they all are.
“Conner please take a seat,” mom says to me. I think of firing squads and walking the last mile as I take the seat she pointed to.
At this point I am sweating my ass off and looking at my Uncle Bryon and Uncle Devin hoping for some help. Uncle Nicky has a pissed off look on his face. But I’m not sure it’s about me, as far as I know, I’ve been pretty good.
“Conner, we would like for you to host this year’s charity event,” dad says. “You know that Grandma died a few years ago and we had hired people to run the events while I was trying to start up my own construction business. But that’s not worked out so far. We were hoping that you’d do it for us.”
“Me? I don’t know anything about events.” I feel panicky. “Wait, can’t Aunt Dane and Aunt Ronnie do it? I’m sure that they’d do a better job than I could.”
“No, they can’t. As you know, Grandma always took care of The Daniel Parker Foundation, a foundation which you started and we hold charity events every year. It raises a great deal of money, as you know and we help a lot of people. This is your foundation, Connor, which you started and you haven’t been to the last three events and we’ve all noticed. So at this event tonight you’ll be there to host it.” Conner wanted to run and hide but his dad spoke again. “Conner do you hear me?”
I looked around the table and seen everyone eyes on me and I know that I am not getting out of it this year all I can say is yes Dad I will be there. He smiles at me and I have a feeling they knew I was going to do it all along.
Tonight is the event and I have no date. Jessie, someone that I had been seeing off and on, mostly off, called me this morning to tell me she did not want to see me anymore. I believe she said I was an arrogant ass. It’s not the first time I’ve been called that but it did hurt this time. I have no idea why, it’s not like I loved her or anything.
This event thing has my stomach turning in knots. I not sure I can do this without grandma by my side. She’s been my rock, my mentor and the one person in the world that I could go and talk to and feel like she really got me. My grandma was the best. I miss her more and more everyday it seems.
I get to the event late by a few minutes and mom and dad just simply shake their heads. I can never get anywhere on time and they know it. They also know how I feel about this and why. I’ve never been very good at crowds of people.
The event goes smoothly and I make my speech, which it’s not half bad I think then I start to mingle with the crowds. I’ve never been very good at small talk and I really don’t know many of these people.
Damn it, about an hour into this thing and I don’t believe I am going to make it through the night. It’s hot and boring and I’d much rather be out in the night sitting under the stars alone. Or with a pretty woman.
I turn to go talk to Nick and Anthony when it happens. I run into one of the most beautiful women I have seen and my drink goes all over her.
“Do you always walk and not look to where in the hell you going? Or did you think, hey, I’ll pour a sticky drink all over the first girl I see just for shits and giggles?” At this point I am just starring at her and can’t seem to talk. “Hello? What is wrong with you? Did you hit your head as a kid?”
I’m sorry, I just didn’t…I didn’t know you were there.” That even sounded lame to me. “I wasn’t paying attention.”
“Of course you weren’t. You’re one of the high and mighty Grants, aren’t you?” Before he could ask her what does that meant, she cut me off. “Never mind I have to get back to work and smell like rum and coke and be sticky all night.”
Before I could catch her name or anything else about her, she turned and walked away. I feel like I’ve just made a major mistake here and I have no idea how to fix it.
Nick and Anthony, my cousins started walking towards me laughing their asses off and it reminds me how dad met my mom and all the other Grant men had messed up so badly wait their own wives. I wonder if my cousins, any of them will fare any better.
These two, Aunt Morgan and Uncle Nicky twins are home from college for the charity event and I enjoyed hooking up with them.
“Conner, you moron, didn’t you see her coming at you? Christ, you’re such a dork.” Nick is laughing at me and I want to punch him in the face.
No I wasn’t paying too much attention, I guess. Besides I was coming to talk to you two jerks, now I’m not so sure I want to be around you.”
“Oh wow, Aunt Charlie is going to be pissed if you don’t find her to tell her you are sorry. Besides, I think she’s pretty, don’t you?” Anthony looks around like he’s trying to find her and all I can think about is he’d better not.
She’s mine, I whisper to myself and all I can think of how beautiful she is and I need to find her.

Skylar Manning was just trying to be nice. The mysterious man dressed in black was hanging around after closing…again. It was the third time this week. Only this time he grabbed her arm. Her world changed forever.
Suddenly she found herself hunted by shadowy figures with razor sharp teeth, and into the arms of a warrior who craved her as much as she did him…

<strong>Sapphire</strong>

Blair tries to convince himself that he’s chasing after Sapphire because he feels an overwhelming need to protect her and she just won’t follow orders. When he comes across as a complete jerk, Sapphire really wants no part of him. Of course, leaving him isn’t going to work…she’s his mate. Now, if only he can get his head out of his ass, learn to treat Sapphire the way she should be treated, maybe, just maybe, there is a chance for them…that is unless Jeffery Benetton finds her first…

<strong>Force of Nature</strong>

Austin didn’t want to be impressed by her. He didn’t want to like her. He wanted her to obey him, whelp a few pups so she wouldn’t be bored and run his house for him. CJ wanted to do as she please which included maybe murdering the Alpha in his sleep. The two of them coming together is wonderfully steamy and sarcastic wit. Austin and CJ will make great alpha’s…or will they?

<strong>Nickolas</strong>

Nickolas Grant doesn’t know what to do when he finally realizes that he needs Morgan Becky for more than just his secretary. He doesn’t trust her… not with his love not even his friendship.

Morgan has not had an easy life and finds it difficult to trust others. She needs to get her life in order, not fall for her handsome boss with a stiff spine and foul temper.
When they come together in fiery passion and biting words, no one is safe, not even them.

<strong>Cain</strong>

The girl went by many names. Julie was the one the nurse called her, Shade and also Miss Rocky was just a few more. But it was her real name that she held to her. No one must know who she was or they’d try and kill her. And the good doctor was someone she decided that.

<strong>Royce</strong>

Royce and Kasey have a love that extends over time and could make them very happy…if they don’t kill each other first.
